Sometimes you need a break

It's okay. It's okay to take a break and figure out what direction you want to head in. I've been feeling this on my own journey which is why you haven't been seeing me posting on here or doing other things I am used to doing such as the Tarot readings on my YouTube Channel.

This post is about plates. Our hypothetical plates only hold so much on them before they start to weigh us down and overwhelm us completely. If you've been following me this whole time, you know that I sincerely wish my plate was bigger to do all the things all at once, but that is simply not possible. It's perfectly fine to take a step back to prioritize projects and life and social events. We are human.

This post is not about me. This post is my way of giving you that permission to take some space to figure shit out. If you've been feeling overwhelmed with all the things you need to do or just on the verge of forgetting about yourself, this is your sign to remember who and what you are living for.

Are you living for your job? Your kids? Your friends? Your spouse? I know society tells us we have to be this way in order to be looked at as upstanding citizens, but this is flat out bullshit. You can love your kids, job, spouse and friends and still remain true to you. You can still only live for you. In fact, you should only live for you.

Do not feel guilty for taking breaks or treating yourself to some quiet time curled up watching Harry Potter (my personal favorite way to wind down). Don't feel like a horrible person for choosing to answer your overwhelming number of texts in two days. You owe that to yourself.

This week's podcast episode, I pulled the 2 of pentacles in reverse and decided to talk about it. If you are reading this, it means you likely received my Weekly e-mail Newsletter and you possibly have seen that there's a new episode out! In it, I touch more deeply on this concept of allowing ourselves the space to try things on and then take things off. Our plates are only so big. Deep breaths and don't be afraid to walk away from things for the time being.

It's good to be back on this! Can't wait to share more content with you all!
